Bohaterka filmu traci przytomność, kiedy widzi jak policjanci pałują jej syna podczas obalania berlińskiego muru i przez kilka miesięcy leży w śpiączce. Kiedy się budzi, nie ma już NRD, ale ona o tym nie wie, nadal unieruchomiona w swoim łóżku. Narratorem obrazu

jest jej syn Alex (Daniel Bruehl). Alex kocha matkę (Katrin Sass) i w obawie o jej zdrowie tworzy przed nią iluzję dawnego świata. Cała kamienica daje się wciągnąć w tę zabawę - także siostra Aleksa Ariane (Maria Simon) oraz jego narzeczona Lara (Chulpan Khamatova). Ale odtworzyć NRD wcale nie będzie tak łatwo...

 

Każdy może dojść do wniosku, że pomysł nakręcenia filmu o człowieku, który zapada w śpiączkę jest już troszeczkę stary i nudny. Ale ku mojej wielkiej radości, Wolfgang Becker postanowił dać "powtórkę z rozrywki" i udało mu się w sposób stworzyć równie zabawny i zarazem wymowny film. Następstwem były nagrody na festiwalu filmowym w Berlinie oraz nominacja do Oscara w kategorii najlepszego filmu zagranicznego.

 

Efekt pracy Wolfganga Beckera jest dla mnie iście wybitny - już dawno nie widziałem tak prostego, wciągającego widza filmu, bez mnóstwa efektów specjalnych, bo do tego typu produkcji przyzwyczaiło nas ostatnio kino amerykańskie. Niech każdy przekona się, iż nasi bliscy sąsiedzi niewielkimi kosztami potrafią stworzyć arcydzieło kina europejskiego.

Będzie ktoś tak miły zrobić bardzo luźne i swobodne tłumaczenie tego? Domyślam się, że nie powinno to być dużym problemem dla osób, które język niemiecki znają dobrze, więc proszę o pomoc.

Die Hauptfigur fällt in Ohnmacht, wenn sie ihren Sohn sieht, der von den Polizisten beim Berliner Mauerfall verprügelt wird und einige Monate lang im Koma liegt. Wenn sie wach wird, gibt es keine DDR mehr. Sie weiß jedoch nicht davon. Sie bleibt weiter im Bett. Der Erzähler ist ihr Sohn, Alex (Daniel Bruehl). Er liebt seine Mutter (Katrin Sass). Er macht sich Sorgen um sie, darum macht er Ilusionen, dass die frühere Welt weiter besteht. Das gesamte Wohnhaus speilt mit - auch die Schwester von Alex, Ariane (Maria Simon) und seine Verlobte Lara (Chulpan Khamatova). Es ist jedoch nicht so leicht, die DDR wiederherzustellen...

 

Jeder könnte feststellen, dass der Film über den Menschen, der in Ohnmacht fällt, ein wenig langweilig und überholt ist. Zu meiner Freude ist es Wolfgang Becker gelungen, einen lustigen und guten Film zu machen. Beweis dafür sind die Preisen, die der Film auf dem Berliner Filmfestival gewonnen hat und die Oscarnominierung als der beste ausländische Film.

 

Das Ergebnis der Arbeit von Wolfgang Becker ist hervorragend. Ich habe lange keinen, dermaßen guten und spannenden Film gesehen, ohne Special Effects, an die uns das amerikanische Kino gewöhnt hat. Jeder soll sich davon überzeugen, dass unsere Nachbarn in der Lage sind, mit kleinem Aufwand ein Meisterstück des europäischen Kinos zu machen.

Gdybyście mieli przypadkiem zmienić plany, bylibyśmy wdzięczni jeżeli dałbyście nam znać o tym z wyprzedzeniem, ponieważ będąc na łódce (powinno byś chyba "being on a boat") nie mamy możliwości pobrać opłaty za niewykorzystanie rezerwacji (no-show) od naszych klientów bez rezerwacji (walk-in customers).

 

Nie wiem, czy dobrze rozumiem, ale jest w tym angielskim zdaniu kilka literówek i mogłem pomylić sens.

W drugim zdaniu powiedziałbym inaczej, wnioskując że sprawa dotyczy rezerwacji miejsca na łodzi:

 

Ponieważ, będąc łodzią, nie mamy szansy na zdobycie klientów z ulicy, gdyby Ci, którzy miejsce rezerwowali się nie pojawili.

Greetings from Canada. It's great around here you should visit me sometime. The atmosphere and the local people around here are awesome. But I still hate computers. You can't even imagine how hard it was to send you this e-mail. First I had problems with my laptop batteries. For some unknown reason it didn't want to charge so I couldn't even start my laptop. Then when I finally managed to do so my Operation System got some virus infection and was freezing all the time. Thankfully my close friend that lives nearby fixed that issue and when he was taking care of my computer he offered me his own PC to send you this e-mail. Hopefully my problems will be over soon.

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen. I belive that recycling is a very important issue that I would like to point out during this meeting. We really lack with recycling bins that people could use to sort garbage. Buying and installing recycling bins would decrease the polution and bring the option of recycling some parts of the garbage to be used multiple times. I do not agree with some people that it's not a primary issue that we must point out here. The environment will be much safer and cleaner when we will start sorting garbage. Glass,Aluminium, Metal or Paper can be used multiple times which decreases the production of it so the factories don't produce so much pollution into the air which is safe and healthy not only for the environment but for ourselves as well.

It damaged several power lines, while strong winds blew down several old trees under which, on numerous occasions, people were looking for shelter againt the pouring rain. People say that uit has been one of the worst storms they have ever seen. However, our meteorological team claim that the worst is still yet to come.

Czy ktoś miał do czynienia z IELTS? Dzisiaj grzebiąc przy rzeczach związnych z wizą do Kanady i jedną z opcji językowych był egzamin IELTS. Ktoś coś o tym? Jaki to jest poziom w stosunku do poziomów FCE, Advanced, Proficiency?

Nigdy nie prowadziłem kursu do IELTS, ale z tego co wiem nie jest poziomowany. Tak jak w przypadku TOEFLa dostajesz wynik i to on określa, na ile znasz język. Im wyższy, tym lepiej. Tak więc nawet będąc na niskim poziomie, i tak dostajesz zadania z całego spektrum językowego. Po prostu za te trudniejsze nie dostaniesz punktów. Jedyne rozróżnienie to IELTS Academic i General. Academic jest dla tych, którzy chcą studiować za granicą lub pracować w międzynarodowej organizacji, natomiast General jeśli po prostu chcesz pracować w danym kraju czy też dla funu. Nie wiem, który jest potrzebny do formularza wizowego, ale strzelam, że General wystarczy.
